Eden Hazard Broke A Premier League Record At The Weekend

Eden Hazard may not have been able to inspire Chelsea to victory against Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday evening, but the Belgian winger still helped himself to a Premier League record during the 1-1 draw.

A freak cross-cum-shot from Willian cancelled out Mohamed Salah's opener on Saturday to earn the Blues a point on Merseyside, but the Brazilian wasn't the only Chelsea forward who caused the Reds' defence problems, with Hazard's constant dribbling causing Liverpool's back four all kinds of problems throughout the match.

And data from EA Sports has revealed that the former PFA Player Of The Year completed more successful dribbles in a single game than any other player in Premier League history, this weekend.

Hazard completed 10 dribbles against Jurgen Klopp's team, two more than the likes of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Mohamed Salah have recorded in single games, this term.

The 26-year-old completes a dribble every 15 minutes and has completed 41 out of the 52 he's attempted so far, this term.

Hazard missed the first few games of the season through injury, but has more than made up for lost time with several typically mesmeric displays since returning. In total the Belgium international has made 16 appearances and scored six times, this term.

Antonio Conte will be hoping his star man can avoid any further injuries, with his Premier League champions currently sat in third place in the league table, 11 points behind leaders Manchester City.

7 years after abandoning wife, Rotimi Makinde mocks her success as she turns 50

The Honorable was said to have indirectly insulted his ex-wife who on Sunday, celebrated her 50th birthday and housewarming same day did not receive any celebratory message from her ex-husband. Makinde, who parted ways with his estranged wife seven years ago, posted a picture of his Facebook where he mocked her for not having any man beside her as she adds another year.

His post reads: “Today marks seven years of separation with that bit*h called Bola, she left by 6 a.m, Aregbesola became Governor by 9 a.m and it was also her birthday date…I understand she is celebrating 50 years today and also the opening of a new house in Ikorodu…. However this post has been deleted from his Facebook profile after he received from his followers on the social media platform. The post was also shared by Veno International magazine publisher on Facebook. Following this outburst, the lawmaker immediately granted an interview with Global Excellence were he denied ever making such a post. He added that his haters would have composed such text.

Makinde said: “The story was meant to portray me in a bad light. It was the figment of the writer’s imagination as I never uttered any destructive word against my former wife or ever wished her evil. My friends know that I am too refined for such. I am happily married to someone who is my angel and I believe the woman in question has also moved on with her life.”

Conte issues response to Ferdinand's Bakayoko criticism

Antonio Conte has issued a defence of Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko after heavy criticism from Rio Ferdinand.

Bakayoko has struggled to establish himself at Chelsea after joining from Monaco in the summer.

The midfielder failed to impress against Liverpool, and Ferdinand laid into him after his performance.

“If I was Gary Cahill out there, I’d be screaming at Bakayoko,” he said. “Defensively he’s been an absolute disgrace today.

“I don’t know what he is at the moment. He’s very athletic in terms of his build but I don’t see him upping his game pace wise at any point in the game. I’m not sure what kind of midfielder he is.”

Conte was asked about his midfielder’s displays thus far, and admitted that there is room for improvement.

“Don’t forget Bakayoko is a player very young. He’s only 22 years old,” he said.

“And for many reasons he played a lot of games. I think he needs to improve, under tactical aspect with us and to go into our idea of football.

“But, at the same time, for a young player to play with this regularity is not simple. He’s playing well.

“It’s normal you can alternate good performance with other performance less good. But I think he’s a young player, he’s working very well and I’m very happy for his commitment, for his behaviour.

“But, for sure, he has a lot of space for improvement.”
