At least 32 people are feared dead in a grisly road accident involving multiple vehicles at Sachangwan blackspot along Nakuru- Eldoret highway.

St John Ambulance rescue team confirmed the fatal accident through its twitter handle on the afternoon of Tuesday, December 12.

"Fatal accident at Sachangwan blackspot involving many vehicles, including a bus, truck and matatus," the hospital said.

Unconfirmed reports indicate about 32 people have died following the Sachangwan involving 13 cars. The accident occurred when a lorry being chased by the @ntsa_kenya for failing to stop when flagged down lost control and hit a bus resulting in a pile-up accident.

The latest accident at Sachangwan blackspot raises the road accident death toll during this festive season to over 50 in the past four days.

As earlier reported by Tuko.co.ke, seven musicians of the members of the Kanene International Band died in a road accident in Kamara along Nakuru-Eldoret road on Saturday, December 9.

Another set of over 14 Kenyans perished in Moinonin along the Marigat-Loruk road in Baringo North, on the afternoon of the same Saturday.

Tuko.co.ke also reported 19 Kenyans died on Monday, December 11, in yet another road accident at the Kamukuywa bridge along Webuye -Kitale road. The accident involved several personal vehicles, a Public Service Vehicle and a sugarcane tractor.
